Violent Crimes in New Jersey

Anyone charged with a violent crime in the State of New Jersey is subject to certain mandatory minimum fines, penalties and term of incarceration.  There are also enhancements to other crimes which may involve violence and require additional imprisonment upon sentencing. In any violent crime, the victim has a right to appear before the Court and explain to the Judge how the crime has affect them at the time of sentencing. Needless to say, any person facing a charge of crimes involving violence should be represented by counsel and should consult with an experienced criminal defense attorney as early as possible.
